Telnet

TELNET is used to issue commands remotely.

Step 1: In Server, Go to Server Manager --> Features --> Add Features


Step 2: Check 'Telnet Server' option --> Click Next


Step 3: Click Install


Step 4: Start --> Administrative Tools --> Services (or) Go to Run --> services.msc


Step 5: In Services window, search for Telnet service


Step 6: Right Click on Telnet Services --> Properties


Step 7: In Startup type field, Click the dropdown and Choose Automatic --> Click Apply


Step 8: Click Start button --> Then Click OK



Step 9: Start --> Administrative Tools --> Active Directory Users and Computers


Step 10: Go to Users --> Right Click on TelnetClients group --> Properties


Step 11: Go to Members tab --> Click on Add --> Add Users



Step 12: Go to Client Machine --> Start --> Control Panel --> Programs and Features


Step 13: Click Turn Windows feature On or Off


Step 14: Check Telnet Client --> Click OK


Step 15: Run --> cmd; In command prompt, type 'telnet' --> Hit 'Enter' key


Step 16: Type 'open IPADDRESS' (eg: open 192.168.150.104) --> Enter ---> type 'Y' --> Enter


Step 17: Remote login is established through Telnet
